2022/23 ALL-NFPL MEN'S Honorable Mention

A deep team of real quality, the All-NFPL Men's Honorable Mention are listed below based on their performances this season.

Gabe Villagomez

A huge end to the season for the young star of this Grand Rapids OLé squad, Gabe Villagomez scored 6 goals and assisted 1 in 3 games, including 2 in the Championship loss to FC Tryzub. His goal output in the playoffs alone matched his season-long output in 7 fewer matches and earned a spot on the April Team of the Month.

Joao Couto

Leader of a young Futsal Indy team that struggled this season, Joao Couto nonetheless finished with 1 goal and 2 assists on a squad that was short of both. 

Edrick Padilla

Just like last season, Edrick Padilla led the way for Cadence SFC as they sputtered along to a few decent results but a disappointing finish. Padilla ended with 8 goals and 4 assists. 

Dayron Rojas

With a number of eye-catching displays with clean finishing and fast feet, Dayron Rojas made his mark on the Southwest Conference with 2 goals and 4 assists in just 3 games for San Diego Voyagers.

Robert Damron

Undoubtedly one of the league's best goalkeepers, Robert Damron endured a disappointing campaign with a young Futsal Factory team that struggled to find their footing. Despite their issues, Damron won two Man of the Match votes over the season.

Sammy Esquivel

Sammy Esquivel came out of his shell this season, scoring a handful of spectacular goals for Grand Rapids OLé and earning 3 Man of the Match votes over the season. He ended with a team-best 9 goals and added 2 assists for 11 total points.

TJ Manning

An excellent campaign for TJ Manning included 18 total points as he scored 8 and assisted 10 for Ginga FS. Manning earned 4 Man of the Match votes over the season as well, leading his team and ending fourth in the league in MOTM points.

Ben Pritchard

One of the bright spots for Futsal Factory in a tough season was Ben Pritchard. He earned 2 Man of the Match votes and finished third on his team in total points with 8, scoring 4 and assisting 4 through the campaign. 

Philip Caputo

A player whose season was marred by injury, Philip Caputo had an excellent campaign for Joy Athletic when he was on the court. In just 7 games he scored 5 and assisted 3, earning two Man of the Match votes and a Player of the Week award. 

Kensuke nakai

A latecomer to the Ginga FS squad, Kensuke Nakai made a splash once he arrived. In three games played, he earned three Man of the Match votes, scoring 5 goals and assisting 2. His 2.3 points per game rank in the top 10 across all conferences.
