NFPL Women's Team of the Month - December 2022

The National Futsal Premier League launched their Women's Division in December 2022. With two early season games played, the league watched as a few players stood above the rest to join the December Team of the Month.

GOALKEEPER: Brooklyn Harding

The Futsal Factory Academy goalkeeper has two games and two wins under her belt, holding a tough Grand Rapids OLé to just two second-half goals in a comeback victory in Matchweek 2. She then helped shut down Futsal Indy on the road in Matchweek 3. Harding will be hoping to continue her steady presence between the posts that has helped put Futsal Factory Academy on top of the standings in the Women's Division

FIXO: Janaina Novaes Miknus

Futsal Indy captain and player/manager Janaina "Jana" Novaes Miknus recorded 3 goals and 1 assist in a home loss to Futsal Factory Academy in Matchweek 3. Despite the loss, the Brazilian fixo held her own and will continue to establish herself as a tough competitor that opposing teams will have to worry about in future matches.

ALA: Citlali Luna

Despite losing their season opener on the road in Matchweek 2, Citlali Luna impressed for Grand Rapids OLé, helping her team put together a 4-3 lead at the half with a controlling display in the middle of the court. We'll be looking forward to seeing what Luna brings to the court in future games as Grand Rapids OLé go deeper into the season.

ALA: Khloe Koelling

With 4 goals in their season opener, Khloe Koelling put in an impressive display that earned her Player of the Week honors for Matchweek 2. The Grand Rapids OLé star currently leads her team in goals and points and will be one to watch as the NFPL Women's season picks up speed.

Pivo: Chloe Ricketts

The current league-leader in goals, assists, and points is Chloe Ricketts of Futsal Factory Academy. With two big goals and an assist in their Matchweek 2 victory over Grand Rapids and 3 goals and 3 assists in their Matchweek 3 win on the road against Futsal Indy, it's no surprise that Ricketts rounds out our December 2022 Team of the Month.

6TH Woman: Micayla Johnson

The Futsal Factory Academy ala/pivo impressed in both matches, but moreso on the road in Matchweek 2. Johnson put 4 goals beyond the Indy goalkeeper and tallied an additional assist on the night.

MANAGER: Maroun El Khoury

Two games, two wins, six points. Maroun El Khoury has his Futsal Factory Academy women on top of the league and looking fearsome in their inaugural NFPL season. We'll see what happens as they take on tougher challenges on the road later in the season!

Congratulations to our December 2022 Queens of the Court, and best of luck to all of the players and managers in the upcoming games.
