Road to the Title Begins | NFPL Playoffs Set to Kick Off

The National Futsal Premier League postseason has arrived.

After a competitive regular season across all divisions, the path to the league title is now clear. Conference champions will be crowned, and one final spot will be earned through a tightly contested wild card race.

The NFPL Playoffs begin with the Conference Finals on April 11, followed by the Semifinals and Finals on April 25–26 in Michigan.

Conference Finals Matchups

Three conference finals will determine who advances to the NFPL Semifinals, with each division sending its top teams into decisive matchups.

Southwest Conference Final

How Teams Advance

The NFPL Semifinals will feature:

  • The three conference champions
  • One wild card team

The wild card will be awarded to the conference runner-up with the highest total points, combining both regular season and conference final results.

Wild Card Qualification Rules

Points from the conference finals play a direct role in determining the wild card.

  • If a conference final ends in a draw after regulation, both teams are awarded 1 point
  • These points are added to each team’s total league points before wild card determination

Once all points are finalized:

  1. Total league points determine the wild card
  2. If tied → Goal Differential (GD)
  3. If still tied → Goals Against (GA)
  4. If still tied → Goals For (GF)
  5. If still tied → Coin flip

There is no limit on goals scored, meaning every goal could impact qualification.

Knockout Stage Format (Semifinals & Finals)

The NFPL Semifinals and Finals will take place:

📅 April 25–26

Overtime Rules

All knockout matches (Conference Finals, Semifinals, and Finals) will follow the same tiebreaker format:

  • Two five-minute overtime periods
  • No golden goal
  • If still tied → Penalty Kicks (PKs) to determine a winner

What’s at Stake

Three teams will secure their place by winning their conference.

The fourth and final spot will come down to the smallest margins — points, goal difference, and potentially even goals scored.

Every match matters. Every goal matters.

Now, the NFPL Playoffs will decide everything.

From conference battles on April 11 to the final matches in Michigan later this month, the road to the championship is officially underway.
