NFPL Matchweek 10 Preview

Matchweek 10 in the National Futsal Premier League features three games in a weekend that could be decisive for seeding and home-court advantage in the playoffs.

Grand Rapids OLé (H) VS. Futsal Indy (A)

Fresh off their weekly routine of dismantling another futsal club, Grand Rapids OLé play at home for the first time in a month. In that period, they've gone three games on the road with three wins out of three, scoring 30 goals and conceding just 5.

Their form has been nothing short of unstoppable this season and they'll host Futsal Indy, a team they beat in Matchweek 6 by a score of 15-1 — in Indianapolis.

Currently on a 4-game losing streak, Futsal Indy need to breathe life back into their season. A win on the road against the league leaders would give them a load of confidence as we move toward the playoffs. A loss for Grand Rapids would find them tied on points with Joy Athletic.

Key players:

Grand Rapids OLé:
Adrian Diaz
Jonathan Stout
Cole Russell

Futsal Indy:
Dudu Oliviera
Dennis Sehic

Cadence SFC (H) VS. Futsal Factory Academy (A)

By the end of this Matchweek, Cadence SFC will have played the top three teams in the NFPL in just two weekends. In Matchweek 9, they fell at home to both Grand Rapids OLé and Joy Athletic

They host Futsal Factory Academy in what should be a good game. Cadence SFC were able to give Joy Athletic a scare, and Futsal Factory Academy are one of only two teams to beat Joy Athletic this season, with their other loss coming at the feet of OLé.

FFA will be looking to extend their 3-game winning streak and keep the pressure on the two teams above them. Although they have games in hand, they need to win them all to be in the conversation for regular season champions as neither Joy nor Grand Rapids OLé look like they are slowing down any time soon.

Cadence SFC:
Josue Pfrommer
Guilherme Nunes

Futsal Factory Academy:
Robert Damron
Ahmed Zaky
Drew Ducker

Columbus Futsal (H) VS. FUTSAL INDY (A)

Fresh off the back of a Matchweek 9 victory over Ginga FS in The Battle for Ohio, Columbus Futsal will undoubtedly be ready to take the court again as they host Futsal Indy. Indy's energy and tired legs may be a factor in this game as they will be on the road against Grand Rapids the night before and take the court in Columbus less than 24 hours later.

Columbus and Indy have 4 and 3 points in the table, respectively. A win for each club would be massive as they look to close the gap between themselves and Ginga FS, who sit in 4th place with 10 points.
