California: HBK Pull Away After Restart to Claim Conference Title

HBK Futsal 8–3 ThreeSixty Sala

It took two dates to decide it — but in the end, there was no doubt.

When HBK and ThreeSixty Sala first met in the California Conference Final, it felt like more of the same from their regular season meetings. The sides went into the break tied 2–2, with Fredy Ramirez scoring both for ThreeSixty, while Alexander Bedoya and Henry Scott answered for HBK.

Then the game stopped.

A week later, it restarted — and everything changed.

HBK came out of the restart with urgency and intent, and within minutes, they had taken control. Just three minutes in, Bernard Vareskic danced through defenders before finishing emphatically from close range to give HBK the lead.

Moments later, sharp passing opened up space for Michael Diaz, who finished from close range to double the advantage. What had been a tightly contested match quickly turned into a two-goal game within the opening five minutes of the restart.

ThreeSixty never recovered.

A long throw from Victor Miramontes in goal released Henry Scott, who calmly finished to extend the lead to three with just over seven minutes remaining. From there, with time running out, ThreeSixty were forced to push forward and fly the goalkeeper — and HBK took full advantage.

The goals came quickly.

Scott added another from long range with under three minutes to play, Devin Brown followed with one of his own, and the result was no longer in doubt. ThreeSixty managed a late response through Manuel Gaitan after strong pressing, but it was little more than a consolation.

Scott would add one final goal to cap it off, as HBK closed out an emphatic 8–3 victory.

After three drawn meetings in the regular season, the final chapter was anything but close.

What It Means

With the win, HBK are crowned California Conference Champions, securing their place in the NFPL Semifinals in Detroit.

They will now travel to Michigan on April 25, where they will compete for a spot in the NFPL Championship Game on April 26.

For a team that spent the entire season locked in tight battles within the division, this performance delivered clarity — and momentum — at exactly the right time.
