Firepower and Fine Margins | 2025/26 Southwest All-Conference Team Announced

The Southwest Division delivered some of the most dramatic, emotional, and competitive futsal of the 2025/26 NFPL season.

Every team in the division pushed the level higher throughout the year, producing explosive attacking performances, intense rivalries, and multiple title contenders by season’s end. By the time Championship Weekend arrived, the Southwest had already proven itself as one of the league’s deepest divisions — and ultimately produced both finalists in Detroit.

Here is the official 2025/26 NFPL Southwest All-Conference Team.

Goalkeeper

Jared Wilson — BRUSA Futsal Club

The last line of defense for the league champions.

Wilson once again delivered for BRUSA Futsal Club throughout another title-winning season, helping anchor the Southwest’s best goal differential while contributing to BRUSA becoming the first back-to-back champions in league history.

Beyond his shot-stopping ability, Wilson remained vital in possession as well, finishing the season with 1 goal and 2 assists. Calm under pressure and consistently dependable in big moments, he continued to prove why he remains one of the league’s top goalkeepers.

Ala

Yan Brandao — BRUSA Futsal Club

The league’s Golden Ball winner.

Brandao led the entire NFPL in regular season points, finishing with 11 goals and 10 assists in just 9 matches before adding another 2 goals and 2 assists during the playoffs to help secure another championship for BRUSA.

But beyond the numbers, his influence shaped matches constantly. Creative, clinical, and capable of producing moments of brilliance at any time, Brandao remained one of the league’s defining players from opening weekend through the final whistle of the championship game.

Ala

Bryan Rivas — Santa Fe Gloom

One of the most dynamic attacking players in the Southwest this season.

Rivas finished the campaign with 10 goals and 5 assists in 8 matches, consistently creating and finishing chances for Santa Fe Gloom. His late-season performances were particularly important, helping drive a strong finish to the year while earning multiple Player of the Week honors along the way.

Direct, aggressive, and technically sharp, Rivas consistently delivered against top competition.

Ala

Jesus Guillen — New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy

A player who elevated his game when the stakes became highest.

Guillen recorded 5 goals and 2 assists in just 4 regular season matches, but it was his playoff performances that fully announced him as one of the league’s elite players. Across 3 postseason matches, he added another 5 goals and 3 assists — tied for the most playoff production in the NFPL.

His pressing, movement, creativity, and composure in transition became central to NMFS’s run to the championship game, where he consistently created problems for opposing defenses.

Pivo

Kaue Martins — BRUSA Futsal Club

One of the league’s purest finishers.

The BRUSA captain finished the regular season with 15 goals and 3 assists in 9 matches, ending the year second in the Southwest in total points while consistently delivering in key moments for the eventual champions.

Strong, clinical, and fearless in front of goal, Martins remained a constant scoring threat throughout the season and added another goal during BRUSA’s championship run in Detroit.

Sixth Man

Raul Araujo — Los Yunaites

A consistent attacking contributor throughout the season.

Araujo finished the campaign with 4 goals and 4 assists in 6 appearances, providing creativity and energy for Los Yunaites across a competitive Southwest schedule. Whether creating opportunities or arriving in dangerous areas himself, he remained an important part of LOSY’s attacking identity all season long.

Manager

Pablo Salto — New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy

The manager behind one of the league’s biggest breakthroughs.

Under Salto’s leadership, NMFS evolved from dangerous challengers into legitimate title contenders. They defeated BRUSA twice during the season, reached the NFPL Championship Game, and developed one of the league’s most dangerous attacking identities along the way.

Organized, fearless, and constantly improving, New Mexico Flagship became one of the stories of the season.

The Southwest Division delivered elite attacking quality, unforgettable moments, and championship-level competition throughout the 2025/26 campaign — and these selections reflect the players and leadership that shaped it most.
