NFPL 2021/22 awards

With Grand Rapids OLé winning the NFPL Championship and the 2021/22 season coming to a close, we are ready to announce our awards for Golden Ball, Golden Boot, and Golden Glove.

Golden Ball - Bennett Kouame

Nobody had more individual Man of the Match awards across the season than Joy Athletic's #10 Bennett Kouame. Beyond that, he won the NFPL Goal of the Month Award for January and had several other goals make it into the Goal of the Month nominees.

Golden Boot - Adrian Diaz

Leading the line for the league's best offense was Adrian Diaz of Grand Rapids OLé. Adrian had nearly 30 goals in 12 games throughout the course of the season, contributing to a team that scored 127 goals for a +94 goal differential. Astounding stuff from the champions and the league's best striker.

Golden Glove - Robert Damron

Robert Damron anchored a stout Michigan Futsal Factory Academy defense that let in just 65 goals this season, contributing to a positive goal differential and a third-place finish in the 2021/22 NFPL season. Not just a great young goalkeeper, but a great goalkeeper, period.
