Relentless in Front of Goal | Cole Russell Named Midwest Player of the Week

When the moment demanded a performance, Cole Russell delivered one that defined the match.

In Futsal Factory Academy’s 9–6 Conference Final win over Inter Detroit, Russell produced a six-goal performance that powered his side through one of their toughest tests of the season.

The game never truly settled. Inter Detroit pushed throughout, closing the gap late and threatening to flip the result. But each time the pressure mounted, Russell responded.

He scored in every phase of the match — early, late, from open play, and from the penalty spot — showing composure and consistency in the moments that mattered most. His finishing created separation when FFA needed it, and ultimately proved the difference in a high-scoring, high-stakes contest.

In a game filled with quality on both sides, Russell’s ability to repeatedly find the net stood above the rest.

The result sends FFA through to the NFPL Semifinals in Detroit, where they will return to action on April 25, playing for a place in the NFPL Championship Game on April 26.
