When BRUSA needed a leader, Kaue Martins delivered one of the most extraordinary performances of the NFPL season.

The BRUSA captain recorded four goals and one assist in the first half alone, spearheading a remarkable comeback in his team’s 11–9 victory over Santa Fe Gloom.

After Santa Fe surged to a 5–2 lead midway through the first half, Martins helped completely flip the momentum. First, he calmly converted a penalty to begin BRUSA’s rally. Minutes later he scored again at the back post after a well-worked corner routine.

The captain wasn’t finished.

Martins then combined with Yan Brandao to score twice more, including a brilliant long-range finish from near midfield after capitalizing on a loose ball. His attacking instincts, composure, and leadership powered BRUSA through a six-goal run that transformed the match before halftime.

By the break, BRUSA had stormed back to lead 9–5, with Martins directly involved in five of those goals.

In a game filled with highlights, the captain’s dominant first-half display proved to be the decisive difference.
