The 2025/26 National Futsal Premier League season officially gets underway this weekend, marking the start of a new year of competition across the California, Midwest, and Southwest Divisions, along with the return of the Women’s Division for the first time since 2022. With new clubs, expanded pathways, and growing talent across the country, this season is poised to be one of the most competitive in NFPL history.

Matchweek 1 features one Midwest Division matchup, while several additional fixtures originally scheduled have been postponed and will be rescheduled.

The season opens with a familiar Midwest matchup as Futsal Factory Academy (FFA) hosts Inter Detroit.

FFA enters the campaign looking to build on last year’s run to the NFPL Final. With strong continuity in their roster and a clear style of play, the club will look to set the tone early as they begin another push toward championship contention.

Inter Detroit returns for their second NFPL season following a year of building their identity and gaining valuable experience. With returning pieces and added cohesion, the club aims to show progress from the opening whistle and challenge more consistently within the division.

Saturday’s matchup offers an early look at how both teams have evolved heading into the new season.
