March 2026 Midwest Team of the Month

Midwest Team of the Month – March: Inter Detroit Surge, FFA Remain the Standard

March in the Midwest Division delivered some of the most competitive and defining moments of the season, highlighted by Inter Detroit becoming the first team to take points off Futsal Factory Academy.

While FFA remained unbeaten and continued to set the standard, Inter’s strong run of results—including two wins and a draw against the division leaders—made this one of the most compelling months in the league.

Here is the Midwest Team of the Month for March.

Goalkeeper

Robert Franzese-Damron (Futsal Factory Academy)

FFA’s captain continues to anchor the division’s top side, featuring in two key March matchups and conceding just 12 goals across those games, including a high-intensity draw against Inter Detroit.

Beyond the numbers, Franzese-Damron’s leadership and presence remain vital to FFA’s structure, as they maintained their unbeaten record through the most competitive stretch of their season.

Fixo

Edwin Gomez-Ruiz (Inter Detroit)

A standout performer in Inter Detroit’s biggest match of the season, Gomez-Ruiz finished March with 3 goals and 1 assist, including a dominant showing in the 6–6 draw against FFA.

His performance in that game—featuring a goal-of-the-season contender and a key assist—was instrumental in Inter’s comeback and cemented his place in the Team of the Month.

Ala

Nate Boos (Inter Detroit)

Inter’s captain was one of the most productive players in the division throughout March, finishing with 6 goals and 3 assists across three matches.

From a hat trick in a 5–0 win over MitWest to a complete performance in the draw against FFA, Boos consistently delivered in big moments and led Inter’s charge to second place.

Ala

Cody Boogart (Capital Futsal)

Boogart was Capital’s most consistent attacking threat in March, recording 3 goals and 1 assist, including a hat trick against FFA.

Despite Capital’s results, his individual performances stood out and earn him a place in the squad.

🎯 Pivo

Cole Russell (Futsal Factory Academy)

Russell’s four-goal performance in FFA’s win over Capital Futsal was one of the defining individual displays of the month.

His ability to take over a match and deliver in decisive moments earns him the nod at pivo, highlighting the attacking depth that continues to power FFA.

🔁 6th Man

Silas Rustin (Inter Detroit)

Rustin earns his place following a strong performance in Inter’s 10–5 win over Capital Futsal, where he recorded 2 goals and 1 assist and was named Player of the Week.

While his role was more limited in other matches, his impact in that performance and Inter’s overall success in March secure his inclusion.

🧠 Manager of the Month

Edwin Jimenez (Inter Detroit)

Inter Detroit’s manager earns March honors after guiding his side to a 5–0 win over MitWest, a 10–5 win over Capital, and a 6–6 draw against FFA.

That draw marked the first time any team has taken points off FFA this season, capping a strong month that secured Inter second place in the division heading into the playoffs.

Final Word

March showcased both the dominance of FFA and the emergence of Inter Detroit as a legitimate challenger.

With the postseason approaching, the Midwest Division looks set for a compelling finish.
