The Southwest Division delivered drama, goals, and standout attacking performances throughout January, led by an in-form New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy side that set the pace early.

Juan Ruiz (New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy)
Ruiz has been a true two-way presence, anchoring NMFS defensively while contributing three goals of his own. His shot-stopping, distribution, and confidence have been central to Flagship’s strong start.

Field Players

Christopher Santos (New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy)
The league’s most prolific scorer to date, Santos leads the NFPL in total points and goals. His finishing has been clinical, consistently punishing defensive lapses and setting the standard for attacking efficiency.

Luis Gonzalez (New Mexico Flagship Futsal Academy)
Equally influential, Gonzalez sits tied with Santos on ten total points. With seven goals and three assists, he has combined creativity and decisiveness, often delivering in the biggest moments.

Julian Bustamante (Santa Fe Gloom)
Despite limited appearances, Bustamante has been outstanding. Three goals and three assists in just two matches highlight his quality and importance to Santa Fe Gloom’s attack.

Jaime Martinez (Los Yunaites)
Los Yunaites’ primary goal threat, Martinez has accounted for three goals so far this season, consistently finding space and finishing chances even under heavy pressure.

Kaue Martins (BRUSA Futsal Club)
Though he featured in just one January match, Martins made an undeniable impact. Four goals in BRUSA’s season debut served as a reminder of why the reigning champions remain a threat.
