January 2026 Midwest Team of the Month

January belonged to the Midwest, and no team set the standard higher than Futsal Factory Academy. A blistering start to the season, dominant scorelines, and individual brilliance across the division made this month’s selections clear.

Goalkeeper

Robert Franzese-Damron (Futsal Factory Academy)
The captain and defensive anchor for FFA, Franzese-Damron has been the foundation of the most dominant start in NFPL history. Through January, FFA conceded just six goals total, with Franzese-Damron responsible for the vast majority of minutes between the posts. His command of the court, distribution, and leadership have set the tone for a team that has controlled matches from start to finish.

Field Players

David Magalhaes (Futsal Factory Academy)
In just two appearances, Magalhaes has been devastating. Five goals and three assists give him eight points and the best points-per-game mark in the league. His movement, finishing, and chemistry within FFA’s system have made him nearly unplayable.

David Reilly (Capital Futsal)
Capital’s chief playmaker has quietly put together an excellent opening month. With six assists in three matches, Reilly leads Capital in total points and the league in assists, consistently pulling the strings and dictating tempo in midfield.

Nate Boos (Inter Detroit)
Inter Detroit’s captain has been a steady leader during a challenging opening stretch. Boos leads his side with six points (four goals, two assists), delivering key goals and setting the competitive tone every time he steps on the court.

Khal Suleiman (Futsal Factory Academy)
The Midwest’s most productive player so far, Suleiman leads the division with nine points from five goals and four assists. His ability to influence games in multiple phases has been critical to FFA’s ruthless efficiency.

Sixth Player

Omar Lahbiki (MitWest Futsal Club)
MitWest’s brightest spark through January, Lahbiki has been directly involved in three goals across two matches and has consistently lifted his side when on the floor. His absence has been noticeable, underscoring his value.

Manager of the Month

Drew Ducker (Futsal Factory Academy)
Ducker has overseen a start for the history books. January wins of 13–4 and 15–0 set the tone, and by Matchweek 8 FFA stood at 56 goals scored and just six conceded. Organization, execution, and relentless intensity define this team.
