2025/26 Preseason Profile: HBK Futsal Brings San Jose’s Humble Ballers to the National Stage
HBK Futsal enters the National Futsal Premier League with a fast-growing reputation, a strong competitive foundation, and a mission rooted in the values behind its name — Humble Ballers Klub. Founded in March 2024, the San Jose-based program has quickly become a rising force in the Bay Area futsal community.
From the start, HBK set out to build a culture defined by hard work, passion, and humility. That identity has fueled rapid success. The club fields men’s, women’s, and youth teams, all of which have already competed in major US Futsal Regional and National events. In just their second year, HBK earned a US Futsal National Championship at the Boys U19 level, marking a major milestone in the club’s development.
HBK’s ambition extends beyond youth success. Both the men’s and women’s teams currently compete in the California Pro Futsal League, where the women’s squad remains undefeated and the men hold a strong 4–1 record. Their rosters feature a blend of local talent and experienced players, including athletes with backgrounds in NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA, JUCO, MASL, and MASL 2 — all contributing to a competitive and balanced program.
As HBK joins the NFPL for the first time, the club sees the league as the next step in showcasing San Jose’s futsal identity on a national platform.

HBK enters the NFPL season with a clear goal: continue building opportunities for local players while competing with the same energy and humility that have defined the club since day one. With both men’s and women’s squads in action, a strong developmental pathway, and a rapidly growing supporter base, HBK Futsal arrives as one of the most exciting new additions to the California Division.
