2025/26 Preseason Profile: Anthem FC Brings a Decade of Passion and Player Development Into the NFPL

Anthem FC enters the 2025/26 National Futsal Premier League season with a foundation built on identity, passion, and long-term community investment. What began in 2014 as a lifestyle brand quickly transformed into a youth futsal academy, and by 2016 Anthem launched its first men’s team — a group that immediately made waves at the United States Futsal Nationals in San Jose.

Since then, Anthem has built one of the most successful records in the region, earning well over 100 championships across its youth and adult programs. The club has also produced standout talent, including McKenna Whitham, the youngest professional soccer player in U.S. history and the youngest American athlete ever to sign with Nike — a point of pride that reflects the strength of Anthem’s development model.

But beyond trophies and elite players, Anthem’s identity comes from its purpose: giving youth players a team and culture they can look up to. The club emphasizes mentorship, leadership, and giving back, creating an environment where players don’t just compete — they contribute.

“The best part is having a team that our youth players can look up to — and for our team to be able to give back by helping, coaching, mentoring, etc. It’s a win-win,” said Owner Mo Ruiz.

As Anthem steps into the NFPL for the first time, the club brings both men’s and women’s teams into California Division play. Their entry marks an important milestone not just for the organization but for the Central Valley futsal community, which has watched Anthem grow from a small brand into one of the region’s most recognizable futsal identities.

With a decade of history, a pipeline that consistently develops talent, and a mission rooted in family, culture, and opportunity, Anthem FC arrives in the NFPL ready to compete — and ready to represent.
