2024/25 NFPL Honorable Mention All-League
2024–25 NFPL Honorable Mention Team
Not every difference-maker ends up on the All-League First or Second Team, but that doesn’t mean their impact went unnoticed. These players and coaches made meaningful contributions, delivered in key moments, and helped define the competitive landscape of the 2024–25 NFPL season.
Introducing this year’s NFPL Honorable Mention Team:
Cole Russell (Futsal Factory Academy)
A reliable two-way player for FFA, Cole Russell brought intensity and composure to every game. Whether sparking attacks or shutting down opposing wingers, he played a valuable role in FFA’s perfect regular season and deep postseason run.
Edwin Gomez-Ruiz (Inter Detroit)
One of the brightest spots for Inter Detroit, Edwin Gomez Ruiz turned heads with his strong play on both ends of the court. His work rate, decision-making, and ability to impact the game in transition made him a standout in a rebuilding season.
Jonathan Alves (Cadence SFC)
Cadence leaned on Jonathan Alves for consistency and versatility. His ability to adapt across positions and read the game kept Cadence competitive throughout the season, proving his value as a foundational piece of their squad.
Kaue Martins (BRUSA FC)
While he earned Coach of the Year honors for the First Team, Kaue Martins also deserves recognition here for his on-court leadership and performance. BRUSA FC’s rise to the top of the Southwest Division wouldn’t have been possible without his six goals and one assist over the course of the season.
Christopher Santos (New Mexico Flagship FC)
A key figure in NM Flagship’s push for the postseason, Christopher Santos combined physicality and flair to great effect. He consistently drew defenders and created space for teammates, showing strong leadership through the most competitive stretch of the year.
Isai Rivas (Santa Fe Gloom)
Rivas was a consistent spark for Santa Fe Gloom, contributing goals and assists while leading from the front. His ability to break games open made him one of Gloom’s most exciting players, and a constant challenge for opposing defenses.
Carlos Jean Caro (Colorado Futsal Academy)
Tasked with anchoring one of the league’s highest-scoring teams, Carlos Jean Caro delivered in high-pressure moments. His command in the back and timely saves helped push Colorado into the upper tier of the Southwest, and he remains one of the most respected keepers in the league.
RESPECT WHERE IT’S DUE
These names may not have made the official First or Second Team lists, but their impact was undeniable. The 2024–25 NFPL season was shaped by moments, big and small, and these players helped write those stories. Congratulations to all Honorable Mention selections on a season to remember.
