Matchweek 11 Review: FFA Remain Unbeaten as BRUSA Dominates

MATCHWEEK 11 REVIEW: FUTSAL FACTORY REMAINS PERFECT, BRUSA DOMINATES AS PLAYOFF PUSH INTENSIFIES

Matchweek 11 delivered fireworks in both divisions as Futsal Factory Academy extended their unbeaten run with a high-scoring road win, while BRUSA FC handled business at home with a dominant second-half performance. With the playoff race tightening, every result continues to shift the standings and ramp up the pressure heading into the final weeks of the season.

INTER DETROIT 8-12 FUTSAL FACTORY ACADEMY

Futsal Factory Academy continues their dominant march through the Midwest, improving to 5-0 after a wild 12-8 road victory over Inter Detroit. The game was packed with attacking firepower and momentum shifts, but the visitors proved too strong as they pulled away in both halves.

Inter Detroit started brightly, opening the scoring through Eduardo Cardenas, but Thomas Dono quickly equalized for Futsal Factory Academy. From there, the visitors took over. Andrew Schwartz scored twice in quick succession, and Francesco Mazzei added a fourth goal shortly after, assisted by Dono. An own goal gave Inter Detroit a brief lifeline, but it wasn’t enough to stem the tide.

Futsal Factory Academy closed the first half with a ruthless flurry—Dono netted his second, Renan Pavia scored unassisted, and Abdul Khalil (making a big impact off the bench) found the net off a pass from Schwartz. Goalkeeper Robert Damron capped off the half with a rare goal of his own, giving the visitors a commanding 8-3 lead at the break.

The second half saw Futsal Factory Academy extend their lead, with Philip Leucht scoring early from a Graham Wadsworth assist. Inter Detroit fought back valiantly, launching a quick three-goal burst fueled by Cardenas and Nate Boos to close the gap to 9-6. However, Futsal Factory Academy’s experience showed down the stretch.

Mazzei and Wadsworth combined for a pair of goals, followed by Dono completing his hat trick with under five minutes to play. Inter Detroit added a late goal from Mariano Dardagan, but the game was out of reach as Futsal Factory Academy secured another convincing victory.

With the win, Futsal Factory Academy remains unbeaten and firmly in control of the Midwest Division, while Inter Detroit is still searching for that elusive first win despite flashes of offensive potential.

BRUSA FC 7-2 Santa Fe Gloom

Back at home, BRUSA FC delivered a dominant second-half display to dispatch Santa Fe Gloom 7-2 and maintain their share of the Southwest Division lead.

After a tightly contested first half, Jonathan Leiva opened the scoring for BRUSA off a clever corner kick routine. Santa Fe responded before halftime with a strike from Johnny Ruiz, sending the teams into the break tied 1-1.

The second half started fast—Leiva quickly restored BRUSA’s lead, but Jordan Maldonado equalized almost immediately for Santa Fe. That would be the last Gloom highlight, as Leiva completed his hat trick just 90 seconds later, shifting momentum fully in BRUSA’s favor.

In a rapid five-minute stretch, BRUSA pulled away—Christian Lima, Yan Nascimento, and Kaue Martins all found the net in succession, breaking open the game at 6-2. With three minutes left, Leiva capped off a spectacular night with his fourth goal, sealing the win and sending BRUSA to 4-1 on the season.

Santa Fe Gloom now sits at 1-7, with their playoff hopes hanging by a thread. BRUSA, meanwhile, keeps pace with Colorado atop the Southwest Division as the season’s final stretch approaches.
