Matchweek 10 Review: Futsal Factory Academy Stay Perfect
MATCHWEEK 10 REVIEW: FUTSAL FACTORY ACADEMY REMAINS PERFECT WITH ROAD WIN OVER CADENCE SFC
Futsal Factory Academy extended their unbeaten run in the Midwest Division, grinding out a 5-3 victory on the road against Cadence SFC in Matchweek 10. The result solidifies FFA’s position at the top of the table, moving them to 4-0 and leaving Cadence chasing from behind.
Cadence SFC (H) 3-5 Futsal Factory Academy(A)
The first half was a tactical battle, with both teams struggling to break through. Cadence looked well-organized defensively, while FFA controlled possession but couldn’t find the final pass. It wasn’t until the final two minutes of the half that FFA finally broke through, with Thomas Dono scoring the opener off a pass from Gui Ramos. Just a minute later, Dono doubled the lead, finishing off an assist from Lucas Ahonen, sending FFA into halftime with a 2-0 advantage.
Cadence came out of the break firing, cutting the deficit just one minute into the second half when Jonathan Alves found the net, assisted by Giovanni Aguilar. Their momentum was short-lived, however, as Gui Ramos responded just two minutes later to restore FFA’s two-goal lead, finishing a pass from player/manager Drew Ducker.
The game stayed at 3-1 until the 29th minute, when Eduardo Contro scored for Cadence, assisted by goalkeeper Edwar Bavoe, once again pulling the hosts within one. But just two minutes later, Gui Ramos struck again, this time assisted by Lucas Ahonen, making it 4-2.
Cadence refused to go away, and Giovanni Aguilar scored an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute, cutting the lead to 4-3 with just under eight minutes to play. With Cadence pressing for an equalizer, FFA stayed composed, managing the clock and looking for one final opportunity to put the game away.
That moment came in the final minute of play, when Thomas Dono completed his hat trick with an unassisted goal, sealing a 5-3 victory for FFA and keeping their undefeated season intact.
