Matchweek 13 Preview

Matchweek 13 features a big rematch in the Midwest with Grand Rapids OLé hosting Cadence SFC, and a first meeting of the season in the Southwest between New Mexico Flagship FC and BRUSA Futsal Club. 

GRAND RAPIDS OLÉ (H) VS. Cadence SFC (A)

These two met on January 20th, with Grand Rapids winning 13-11 in a tight game in Chicago over Cadence SFC.

It was a game in which Gabe Villagomez scored 7 goals and established himself as the frontrunner in the race for the 2024 Golden Boot. He hasn't slowed down since. 

Cadence SFC put up a good fight on the road in Michigan against Futsal Factory Academy a few weeks ago, with Edrick Padilla and Bryan Cortina in particular standing out.

OLé sit at the top of the table in the Midwest, with Cadence at the bottom on just one point. A win for the visitors would be absolutely massive. Will they be able to hold OLé at arm's length on their home court? Let's find out.

New Mexico Flagship FC (H) VS. BRUSA Futsal Club(A)

With both teams fresh off big wins, this should be a great match with a lot to play for. A win for NMFS would put them above BRUSA in the table, whereas a win for BRUSA would likely propel them into 2nd place over Santa Fe. 

As we get later into the season, these points only become more important. Can BRUSA build on their big win over Colorado on a challenging court in New Mexico? Can Flagship build on a huge road win over Santa Fe and reignite their season? They'll have their work cut out for them.
