The last full month of the regular season is complete, so we've got our final Team of the Month of the 2023/24 NFPL Season! Our March 2024 Kings of the Court features an attack-heavy lineup.
March 2024 KINGS OF THE COURT
GOALKEEPER: Robert Damron
Although Robert Damron is no stranger to being on the team of the month, it is his first appearance this season and for good reason. The Futsal Factory Academy shotstopper has been dominant between the sticks, pushing his team to a league-best 5-game winning streak and helping Futsal Factory Academy to second place in the Midwest.
FIXO: Beckan Ovalles
Despite playing just once in March, Beckan Ovalles stole the show in a massive Matchweek 16 win on the road over Santa Fe Gloom. The Colorado Futsal Academy ala racked up four goals and an assist, propelling Colorado to an undisputed first-place spot in the Southwest.
Fixo: Julian Bustamante
Julian Bustamante has done his part in helping NFPL-newcomers Santa Fe Gloom into a playoff position, adding a total of 4 goals and 1 assist in March, including a hat trick in Matchweek 14 to secure second place and earning him Player of the Week honors.
Pivo: Thomas Dono
Played 3, scored 7, assisted 2. It's been a massive month for Futsal Factory Academy and Thomas Dono has led the line for them. Four pivotal goals against crosstown rivals Detroit Imperial Futsal in Matchweek 16 gave Futsal Factory the biggest win of the season to date and put them in pole position to make the playoffs in a competitive division.
PIVO: Elio Luna
Elio Luna has almost single-handedly turned the season around for New Mexico Flagship FC. In four total games, he's amassed 11 points, with 7 of those coming in March - all against BRUSA FC! He's been in impressive form and New Mexico Flagship will hope he continues to be at his best for the remainder of the season.
6TH: Michael Forbes
Representing Detroit Imperial Futsal on the team of the month is Michael Forbes. His brick-wall display in goal in Matchweek 17 extended Detroit Imperial's season as they picked up a vitally important 3 points at the expense of the division leaders Grand Rapids OLé.
MANAGER: Drew Ducker
Winning Manager of the Month for the first time is Drew Ducker of Futsal Factory Academy! Having started the season 0-3, Futsal Factory Academy have completely turned it around, winning 5 straight games (3 in March) and going into the final week of the season needing just a draw to get into the playoffs. It will take a huge performance from his team at home against Detroit Imperial Futsal!
