With February wrapped up, we can see who shone on the court with big performances in both conferences. Let's take a look at who's leading the league in February 2024.
February 2024 KINGS OF THE COURT
GOALKEEPER: Brian Ramires
New Mexico Flagship FC goalkeeper Brian Ramires had a dominant month with a standout Player of the Week performance in a road win over Santa Fe Gloom. New Mexico Flagship have won two in a row and Ramires has played a significant role in their ascendence up the table in the Southwest.
FIXO: Ben Pritchard
A late-season rally for Futsal Factory Academy has them pushing for a playoff spot, with fixo Ben Pritchard being a mainstay in the starting lineup for the Michigan-based futsal club. Two goals and two assists in a win over Cadence SFC and an influential role in the massive win over Grand Rapids OLé earns Pritchard a spot on the Kings of the Court this month. Pritchard is in the top 5 for assists in the league with 4 on the season so far.
ALA: Diego Galan
A huge month for Colorado Futsal Academy is reflected in the lineup as they've got 3 players and a coach in the February Team of the Month. Diego Galan has been lighting up the Southwest conference, recording 4 goals and 3 assists in 4 matches this month as Colorado climbed to the top of the table.
ALA: GABE VILLAGOMEZ
In his second Team of the Month this season, Grand Rapids OLé ala and star Gabe Villagomez leads the league in total points, with 13 goals (first) and 6 assists (second) going into the final games of the season. Gabe pulled 7 points in just one match against Detroit Imperial Futsal in February, earning him Player of the Week honors.
PIVO: Deivis Leal
Leading the line for our Team of the Month and Colorado Futsal Academy is pivo Deivis Leal. Leal has scored in every match he's played in this season, recording 6 goals and 2 assists as Colorado took first place in the Southwest.
6TH: Beckan Ovalles
Another Colorado Futsal Academy standout, Beckan Ovalles terrorized defenses in February, picking up 3 goals and 2 assists to help push Colorado Futsal Academy to the top of the table.
MANAGER: Juan Carlos Guerrero
Winning Manager of the Month for the first time ever is Juan Carlos Guerrero of Colorado Futsal Academy! After losing their opening game of the season, Colorado have responded well, crushing Santa Fe Gloom in Denver on January 20th before putting together a huge February to propel them to the top of the table in the Southwest.
An impressive road win over New Mexico Flagship and two home wins over BRUSA FC make them the team to beat in the Southwest!
