NFPL Matchweek 7 Preview

We've got 4 games over the weekend of Matchweek 7 as we approach the midway point of the 2022/23 NFPL season. Three games in the Men's Division and 1 game in the Women's Division, plus two cross-conference matchups and a second match from the NFPL Southwest Conference. 

WOMEN'S DIVISION

GRAND RAPIDS OLÉ (H) VS. FUTSAL INDY (A)

Fresh off a big Matchweek 6 home victory over the league leaders, Grand Rapids OLé will be relishing the opportunity to play a bottom-of-the-table opponent in front of their fans. 

On the other hand, it's a grim date on the horizon for the Futsal Indy ladies. They dropped their home matchup against Futsal Factory Academy by a score of 20-6, and with OLé beating FFA this past weekend, they might be in for another challenging night on the court in the NFPL. The previous matchup ended in a 9-3 loss for Futsal Indy at home.

MEN'S DIVISION

GRAND RAPIDS OLÉ (H) VS. FUTSAL Indy (A)

If they hadn't already, Grand Rapids OLé announced to the league that they were still top dogs of the NFPL in Matchweek 6 as they trounced in-state rivals Futsal Factory Academy 9-1. 

On the other hand, winless Futsal Indy went to winless Cadence SFC and lost 12-2. It's been a tough first half of the season for the Indianapolis futsal club and a visit to the league leaders is a bleak prospect for Matchweek 7.

FC Tryzub (H) VS. GINGA FUTSAL (A)

Ginga Futsal look to build from getting their first point of the season with a draw on the road in Matchweek 6 against Columbus Futsal with a tough road trip to Chicago to take on FC Tryzub. 

FC Tryzub currently sit confidently on top of the Midwest conference and have been one of the top teams in the league this season, boasting the fewest goals against and ranking 2nd in goal differential.

This should be an exciting game with two great teams matching up.

San Diego Voyagers (H) VS. Colorado FACTORY ACADEMY (A)

The NFPL Southwest continues in Matchweek 7 with our first look at San Diego Voyagers as they take on the visiting Colorado Futsal Academy. 

Colorado Futsal Academy, fresh off a season opening tie at home to Brusa FC in Matchweek 6 will be looking to draw from a tense history in this matchup and secure their first win of the season.
