Matchweek 15 Preview
The final week of matches for the Midwest and Great Lakes Conferences are this weekend, and we have a few dynamite matchups here! The end of the regular season is upon us and the playoffs approach! Keep reading for all the details below.
COLUMBUS FUTSAL vs. Futsal Factory
Earlier this season, Columbus Futsal outlasted Futsal Factory on their home court, winning 7-3 on January 21st. Looking back, that game seemed like a turning point for both teams.
Since then, Columbus Futsal have gone on to cement themselves as one of the league's top teams, taking 4 points out of 6 available in two fixtures against the reigning champions Grand Rapids OLé and going 4-0-2 overall.
On the other hand, Futsal Factory saw their season slip through their fingers, dropping points almost every week and going 1-4-1 since their matchup against Columbus.
If Columbus win this game at home, they'll have the better record for in-conference matchups and will host the semifinal matchup - there's a lot at stake!
FC Tryzub VS. Grand Rapids OLé
From the beginning of the season, this has been a game that NFPL fans have been looking forward to. The two best teams in the Midwest and Great Lakes Conferences (although Columbus may want a word here) meet for their first and only time in the regular season.
What's at stake? If both of these teams win their semifinal matchups, the winner of this game will have home-court advantage in the Championship game. No doubt Grand Rapids OLé would love to repeat as champions on their home court. Boasting the league's highest-scoring offense, FC Tryzub will make it challenging for the visitors.
This should be a cracking match of futsal between two top teams.
