2022/23 All-NFPL Men's First Team

In the most talented and competitive season the NFPL has ever had, these players stood out to lead their teams.

Goalkeeper: Miguel Cervantes

Miguel Cervantes anchored a stifling Grand Rapids OLé defense, allowing the fewest goals per game this season and scoring a goal while assisting on three in the process. He won more Man of the Match votes than any other goalkeeper throughout the regular season and won the 2022/23 NFPL Golden Glove.

Fixo: Marcelo Matos

Marcelo Matos did it all for Columbus Futsal this season, leading the league in assists with 13, scoring 10 goals, and earning more Man of the Match votes than any other player. He is the 2022/23 NFPL Golden Ball winner and was a massive addition to Columbus Futsal this season, propelling them to an NFPL semifinal berth.

Ala: Erik Hegerty

Ginga FS captain Erik Hegerty stepped up his game this season, going from All-NFPL Honorable Mention in 2021/22 to the first team in 2022/23. Hegerty scored eight, including several Goal of the Month nominees, and assisted three, earning himself five Man of the Match votes in 10 games for Ginga FS.

Ala: Griffin Price

When injuries and absences threatened to derail the Joy Athletic season, newcomer Griffin Price was there to make the leap. Griffin scored 11 goals and had five assists in seven matches this season, averaging 2.3 points per game and earning two Man of the Match votes.

Pivo: Igor Bych

The league's leading scorer and 2022/23 NFPL Golden Boot winner, Igor Bych simply dominated this season. He earned the most Man of the Match points, scored 19 goals, and assisted 10 more for an average of 2.9 points per game en route to an FC Tryzub championship.

6th & Manager: Denis Reveachin

Denis Reveachin slots in as player-manager to round out the All-NFPL First Team. In a combined player/coach role for FC Tryzub was second on the team in total points, scoring seven and assisting 10 throughout the season. As a coach, he led FC Tryzub to the 2022/23 NFPL championship victory over Grand Rapids OLé.
